Kodak DTG Ink & consumables
Manufactured exclusively in the UK by Resolute DTG, the new brand, Resolute Ink Premium, Powered by KODAK Ink Technology is a full range of Premium DTG products with just one thing missing, the premium price tag.
Codenamed Brexink, the negotiations between the New York based giant Eastman Kodak company and Resolute DTG have been on going for almost a year.
As soon as it was clear the U.K. was destined to leave the EU at some point, Resolute’s managing director, Colin Marsh, set to work on securing a deal, to safeguard pricing on a high quality product for the UK DTG textile industry that could not be affected by leaving the EU.
Resolute’s Brexink project brings previously unavailable, Kodak high quality water based pigmented inks to the U.K. The manufacturing contract allows a competitive price point to be maintained and more importantly a stable supply for the growing U.K. and European DTG industry.
The official new brand, Resolute Ink Premium, has the full range of DTG products available for a wide range of printers. Right now we are working hard to bring the Epson DX5 formulation to market, followed by others as soon as possible.
Once our new brand is available we will phase out the original Resolute Ink along with Resolute Brite. These older formulations have become timely and to expensive to manufacture, the new KODAK technology will be used to bring the Made in England products to market. These new products see Resolute remaining at the forefront of DTG technology, making sure our customers have access to the very best products is something that we strive for and something that will never change.
Ricoh, Kyocera and other formulations are scheduled to roll out later in 2019 for OEM's using these print heads.
Fully branded US manufactured genuine Kodak DTG inks are available towards the end of April 2019. The full suite of products including pre-treatments and cleaning solutions will be competitively priced and available in the UK and Europe. Made in the UK Kodak products will follow later in 2019.
